Its been a while since I took a break from the studio, (no surprise for those that know how much of a stress junkie workaholic I really am) and I am so excited that my life has taken me away from the work table more often than not this past month.
I think that running a small creative business can take over your life, and when the whole world is crying about the sky falling, it can be really difficulty to pull yourself away without thinking that the sky might really fall!
In January, I managed to pump out a few pieces outside of the production line... and though it was refreshing, it left me wanting more. This month, I have been traveling a lot, which has loosened up my creativity in a way that I haven't experienced since my last major break:the remodel. i am happy to be reminded that sometimes the best thing for one's creativity is giving it a rest!
so stay tuned for some fresh work, and a refreshed artist.

In these crazy times, nice reminder for us all to take a deep breath or a road trip! as artists we are in constant need of being rejuvenated, re-inspired, or re-connected. I agree that it will make our artmaking more vibrant and everlasting.
